We were instructed to market and sell this site on behalf of a long-standing client, who had promoted the site himself. The site was initially refused in April 2020, however, was granted outline planning permission at appeal in December of the same year.

We carried out a full marketing campaign, and, following a round of ‘best & final’ offers, selected Orbit Homes, who were proposing to do an all-affordable scheme, a mixture of social rented (42%), rent to buy (14%) and shared ownership (43%). This choice meant that much needed affordable homes will be delivered for the town.

It also meant that the site, which had just been vacant scrubland, would provide aesthetic improvements along the picturesque wetlands of the River Nene.
